A beautifully refined Adelaide Hills Syrah from Murdoch Hill, the family estate transformed by winemaker Michael Downer after honing his craft at Italy's celebrated Vietti and Australia's Shaw + Smith.
Awarded 93 points by both Halliday Wine Companion and Decanter, the 2022 vintage delivers juicy dark plum, raspberry, cracked pepper and savoury spice, with vibrant cranberry acidity and fine, mineral-edged tannins. Hand-harvested, partially whole-bunch fermented and matured for 10 months in French oak, it captures the elegance of Northern Rhône-inspired Syrah.
