Amaro dell’Etna Amaro
Born on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, Amaro dell’Etna is an exceptional Sicilian herbal liqueur made to an original recipe dating back to 1901. An infusion of 26 herbs, fruits, roots and flowers delivers rich bitter orange, liquorice, rhubarb and warming spice, with an aromatic, beautifully balanced bittersweet finish.
Its fascinating story begins with Giuseppe Calì Tabuso, a Sicilian shipowner who combined botanicals gathered around Mount Etna with exotic spices brought home by his trading vessels.
Featured in the Walnut Old Fashioned at The Smith in New York and in a signature cocktail at Chicago's Michelin-starred Boka restaurant, this historic amaro has found a place in contemporary cocktail culture.
Traditionally enjoyed as an after-dinner digestif, it is equally delicious over ice with orange or mixed into an elegant Old Fashioned.
