Tyrrells Vat 1 Semillon 2021
One of Australia's most celebrated white wines, Tyrrell's Vat 1 Semillon 2021 is a remarkable expression of Hunter Valley elegance, purity and longevity.
Sourced from exceptional dry-grown vineyards with vines dating back to 1923, it reveals vibrant lemon zest, fresh lime, delicate white peach and subtle floral notes, with mouthwatering acidity and an extraordinarily long, mineral finish.
Awarded 98 points by both James Suckling and Halliday Wine Companion, the 2021 was also ranked among James Suckling's Top 100 Wines of the World.
Reviews "It is impressive that in a challenging year like '21, Vat 1 can look this good, a testament to the winemaking skill and old-vine resources of Tyrrell’s. This wine is a showcase of the best blocks of the season, showing the gentle tension and tones of the cooler year. The palate is beautifully refreshing, with delicious sweet lemon flavours and faint quinine accents. Its satin-like, cleansing palate sets it apart from the rest."
